This unique, comprehensive assembly of forming dies and daps provides the craftsman a wide range of shapes and sizes. Precision made, highly polished dapping punches are made from tool steel and hardened to 50 RC both hit and work ends. The tempering method leaves the shank of the punch at mill hardness and allows the handle to absorb the shock and prevent crystallization of the metal. This unique hardening technique enhances the performance and life of the tool.
