How to Measure the Correct Spring Bar

Step 1

Using a digital gauge measure between the lugs on the case of the watch.

OR

Measure using your lug width gauge. This will give you the length of the spring bar that you will need.

Step 2

Using a digital gauge, measure the inside diameter of the link where the pin will need to go through.

OR

Measure the old spring bar if it is available.  This will give you the thickness of the spring bar needed.

Step 3

Choose the type of spring bar you will need.

**IMPORTANT**
Remember that the length of the spring bar refers to the closed length
and not the overall length.
