The Mettler Toledo JL602 jewelry scale is an affordable jewelry balance offering precise readabilities for legal for trade weighing applications. The Mettler JL602 comes standard with the RS232 interface to connect the scale to Mettler's optional auxiliary display so the customer can see the weight while you are standing on the opposite side of the jewelry case. You also can use the RS-232 interface to connect the scale to a Mettler printer or computer for data acquisition. Mettler Toledo guarantees accurate results for every weighing job. JL balances have a small footprint (ideal when space is limited). The auxiliary display can be mounted on the balance easily.

Built-in applications: All jewelry gold balances have several applications already included in the software: Basic weighing, piece counting and percent weighing.

Legal For Trade: All balances are "Legal For Trade", also known as approved, which is required in applications where the product is sold by weight. All "Legal For Trade" balances have undergone independent testing to verify the scale meets the manufacturer's specifications.

The state of MN has recently changed their requirements for a legal scale and we suggest MN residents to check with the Department of Weights & Measures.

Calibration Instructions

How to calibrate your new Mettler Toledo scale
1. Remove the scale from us packaging and put it on a flat surface. Adjust the legs on the bottom of the scale until the bubble in the back corner of the scale is exactly in the center confirming the stale is level.
2. Plug the adapter into the scale and to an electrical outlet.
3. Turn on the scale by pushing the "O/T" button in the center of the scale.
4. Once the scale has fully turned on, hold down the "l/1O Cal" button until the screen shows "CAL", then let go of the button.
5. The scale will begin to flash "00.00g", and then after a few seconds, it will begin to flash "1OO.Og". Once it begins flashing "1OO.Og". place the 100g weight supplied with your scale on the weighing pan at the same time.
6. Once the screen starts to flash "00.00g" again, remove the weight from the weighing pan. The screen will now read "CAL done"
7. You are now complete with the calibration process.

How to remove the Calibration feature from the scale:
1. Make sure the scale is plugged in to an electrical outlet, but do not turn the scale on.
2. Turn the scale to the back side (not underneath).
3. When you look at the back side. There is a line that goes straight through the middle. To the left of that line, there is a small hole with a black button inside. Get a pointed object and push it inside this hole and hold down the button until the screen reads "SERVICE".
4. Let the scale fully turn on.
5. Hold down "MENU" button until the screan reads "METROL", then immediately let go of the button. The screen should now read "APPR".
6. Push the "<->/F" button once. Now the screen should read "noAPPR"
7. Hold down the "MENU" button until the screen reads "STORED".
8. You have now removed the CAL feature from the scale.
9. Turn the scale off, then turn it back on. and it is ready lo use.
