Excellent for use on gold, silver and platinum for cutting or abrasive action. Leaves metal scratch-free, but dull in appearance. White rouge is a fine abrasive for quick polishing of softer metals. Polishing compounds in tubes or bars are characteristically hard. These are normally used with a polishing motor, applying the compound to a buff wheel, then polishing the item.
