Use a wire guardian to finish the end of your stringing material, just as you would use French wire. The wire guardian will prevent abrasion to the string from the clasp and other sharp attachments rubbing on it.  Typically a crimp bead, wire guardian, jump ring, and a clasp are all used together in order to finish the end of necklaces made with stringing materials.
