Flush cut wire cutters create a straight 90 degree cut on your wire. Top quality cutting shear made by Xuron makes a straight, even cut on both ends of your wire. Most flush cutters cut flush on one side and angled on the other. Pliers are 5.5 inches long with lap joint construction and a comfortable non-slip grip. Xurons unique hard rubber type grip has some cushion for comfort but are also hard enough to make the cutter easy to control and maintain grip even when moist or oily. Cutter contains return spring so the shear remains open for quick and easy one handed cuts. Maximum cutting capacity is 20 AWG (0.80mm). These pliers are intended for beading and other fine hobby work. Not recommended for heavy duty applications such as automotive, home improvement, or maritime use. This cutter uses Xurons trademarked "Micro-Shear" technology, which uses a blade bypass shear cutting action that is unique to all Xuron cutters. Shear cutting reduces cutting effort (as compared to traditional compression cutting) and extends blade life because the sharp edges are not meeting edge to edge. Shear cutting also produces clean, flat cuts.
