Jump Rings, split rings, spring rings

A jump ring jewelry finding is made from round wire and are used in order to securely attach pieces of jewelry together, such as a clasp to a end cap or beads findings.  The unsoldered gap between the wire is where you would loop through the item you’re attaching, then close with a pliers or solder shut.
Split Rings are used in similar applications that you would use a jump ring for.  They are designed like a key ring spiral and have a spring temper making them easy to use along with the aide of split ring pliers. Attach dangles, charms, pendants which are then able to move about after attaching.
Spring Ring jewelry clasps are used to attach two components of jewelry together, usually a chain end and the opposite attachment ring or end cap.  The tiny spring mechanism inside the hollow metal tube spring backs when the lever is pulled back and then forward when released to hold the spring ring shut.  The small attachment ring on the spring rings are left unsoldered so they can be easily attached to chain or jump ring.
