The Whaley Ring Gauge allows jewelers to cut perfectly sized ring stock in a variety of thicknesses, in any metal, eliminating the need for charts or complicated formulas! Historically, in order to cut ring stock to the right length, a jeweler would have to use a formula or chart or just guess because cutting ring stock is not as simple as "a size 6 is a size 6", the thickness of the stock must be factored in to determine the length. Marked on both sides of the tool for left or right handed use. Simply measure the thickness of the stock, cut one side and then place the new straight cut on the desired ring size and make the second cut. Step by step instructions are included.
