Griffin German made nylon bead
cord, each card features top-quality German-made Griffin bead cord. This is the
finest quality tight woven nylon cord available. Each card is 6.5 ft. (2 meters)
of brilliantly dyed, color-fast cord per card (with needle attached). Simply
take the needle from the card and off you go! The twisted stainless steel needle
saves threading time. Doubling the thread is not necessary. There is no simpler,
no quicker and no better way to thread bead.
People often confuse bead cords and threads. Beading Threads are very thin
ribbons, and are meant to be fully covered with beads, thus hidden within your
pieces. They are typically waxed with beeswax to keep them from fraying.
Threads, once waxed, are actually stronger and more durable than bead cords, but
they are unsightly. Threads are used in both bead weaving and bead stringing
projects.
Beading Cords are threads that are braided together, to make them visually
attractive. But you don't wax bead cords -- this would make them ugly. So bead
cords will have problems of fraying and stretching that waxed threads will not.
Bead Cords is used for projects where you want the cord to show, like putting
knots between beads, or tin cup necklaces where you have a cluster of beads,
then a length of cord showing, and then another cluster of beads, then the cord,
and so forth.
Poly Nylon, also referred to as Polyamid, is not inferior to Silk. This cord is
stronger, has less stretch, and actually feels much like Silk. Poly Nylon is
twice as strong as ordinary nylon, has half the stretch of ordinary nylon, and
can be knotted tighter and more secure.

Griffin silk bead cords are used for projects where you want the cord to show, like putting knots between beads. Nylon bead cord comes in 14 colors and 12 different gauges.

Sterling silver crimp tube beads are for securing beads, pearls or gemstones on wire, cord, etc. Simply thread the crimp tube onto the desired stringing material, then using pliers or crimp pliers, squeeze the tube closed. Will securely hold.
|
Add finished looking ends by simply inserting beading wire or thread into the bead tip. Then either tie a knot or use a crimp bead large enough so that it won't pull through the hole. Now add a jump ring and attach a clasp. Easy to use for jewelry.
|
Your Price: From $1.60 to $20.00
Use round sterling silver jump rings for a number of applications. These rings have a gap that you can solder shut or close with pliers.
