The most common repairs on bands are are watch claps, watch pins, and link breakage. A watch band repaired with watch pins or with a new clasp will help your watch band to fit in all climates, eliminate troubles of not fitting, adjust to weight loss, or if you don't want to have your band permanently changed by cutting the band. The watch band should not be too tight and squeeze your wrist uncomfortably or too loose and slide back and forth making it difficult to see the time. You can give you watch more flexibility with adjustable clasps. Mechanically the clasp can have many designs from simple fold over or catch to complex designs that watchmakers have developed over years of thought and planning. If you own a leather watch band, a common repair on is to replace the entire watch band. Replacing a watch band usually can be done at home with a minimum amount of tools depending on the type of watch band you own.
