This compact polishing lathe has a high torque motor with a variable speed range from 1,000 rpm to 10,000 rpm. Its sealed motor housing keeps dust and debris out. Power indicator light is on when unit is plugged in; "work" light is on when motor is running. Use the on/off rpm control knob to turn on, lathe will "idle" at about 1,000 rpm then can be adjusted to desired speed. Cast iron base has rubber feet for extra stability. Supplied with two tapered spindles, two 3" buffs, four 2" buffs, tripoli, red rouge and platinum polish, and spare motor brushes. Motor shaft diameter is 10mm.
